On February 17 at 6PM, a Sixth Street resident received a ‘pop up’ on her computer telling her she had a virus; it displayed a number for her to call to ‘fix the issue’. She was unable to utilize the computer which had been ‘frozen’ by the virus. She called the number and was urged to wire $2,000 to solve the problem. Thankfully, she hung up and called the police.
